I wrote this book in my youth. It is a wonderful fresh perhaps even naive approach to the Ancient Path of Yoga. I present it here unaltered with all the wonderful insights and mistakes that existed then. They are part of the wonderful creation that I have confidence will change your life by altering your mind state. It could not be improved upon much like ourselves. We can learn to accept and to proceed in new ways with new eyes always and all ways being who we are.

From the Introduction and Salutations…

Yoga is very old. Very, very, very old. It is believed to be the oldest literature to exist in both written forms and having been passed down. Some estimates it at least 5,000 years old, others even older. Although it has come from what we today call India, one should not think of it using today’s terms calling it Indian. India or the area today known as India was a cultural center of knowledge. Many scholars believe that the ancient yoga texts were studied by many great masters and teachers and the teachings later became many of the different religions that we have today. The Torah for example and the Old Testament having many similarities with these texts, some entire passages are identical. This is why India and its knowledge as well as yoga itself has been called the mother of all knowledge. This is not trying to convert you to any religion. Nor is this information trying to change your mind. But for those of you hesitant knowing these things may help. Remember there is always a teacher for a student, they learned from someone, somewhere, and there is always a source of knowledge. Sometimes the teachings become changed for various reasons. It is often passed down, changed a little here and there. Some things are left out others are modified. Often times this was decided by those who were in control. Political reasons, personal reasons, cultural reasons. We are very lucky to have access to this ancient knowledge. It has been passed down and protected and anyone can see the truth in it. It should not change your faith no matter what it is only make it stronger because it is a universal prescription for wellness in body and mind. I like to think that my own journey with yoga came from my souls desire to know the truth. And I have been happy and blessed everyday from learning the things that I am about to share with you. I invite you to experience it for yourself. All you need to do is resist the temptation to not try it for whatever reason. Give it a chance and I am very confident that you will find that it was everything that you have been searching for. In this book you will find knowledge, inspiration and a chance to remember your birthright of living happily and peacefully and living to your full potential.
