Orange Color correction gel could help you balancing flash with color temperature of tungsten lighting or sunset, that way temperature of your flash matches the ambient light resulting in a natural blend.
If your want to create warm feelings of the picture, the orange gel could give you a better help.
Difference of 1/4 CTO, 1/2 CTO, Full CTO
The 1/4 CTO gel will convert daylight light sources (5500°K) to a warmer color temperature (4500°K).
Full CTO gel will convert daylight light sources all the way to 2900°K, which is very close to incandescent light bulbs.
According to your different needs,they all effect being to simulate different strength of “warm sunset-quality” in whichever lights.

Please Note
This lighting filter may melt after absorbing overmuch energy, you should cool down your light source after 30min using the gel filter.
Do not directly place the lighting gels on the face of lighting instruments.
